  "notes": "This is the 10th quarterly HIV Program report after

implementation of the 2011 Integrated Clinical\r\nHIV Guidelines in 
            
27
July 2011. A summary of the key achievements between January and March 
            
28
2014\r\nis provided below:\r\n\r\n* Scale-up of integrated HIV 
            
29
services had reached the following number of sites:\r\n     * __825__ 
            
30
static (607 within and __218__ outside of health facilities) and 534 
            
31
outreach HTC sites\r\n\r\n    * __694__ (static) ART sites\r\n\r\n    
            
32
* __605__ PMTCT sites (Option B+, all included in ART sites 
            
33
above)\r\n\r\n    * __651__ Pre-ART sites\r\n\r\n    * __627__ sites

with HIV-exposed child follow-up\r\n\r\n* __444,365__ persons were 
            
35
tested and counselled for HIV; __140,942 (32%)__ accessed HTC for 
            
36
the\r\nfirst time; 303,423 (68%) were repeat testers and 9,112 (3%) of 
            
37
these received confirmatory\r\ntesting (after having tested positive 
            
38
in the past). This is equivalent to 36% confirmatory\r\ntesting 
            
39
coverage among 25,363 patients initiating ART this quarter. 32,913 
            
40
(7%) out of all\r\nclients received a positive result for the first 
            
41
time.\r\n\r\n* __18,850 (93%)__ of __20,242__ blood units collected 
            
42
were screened for (at least) HIV, hepatitis B\r\nand 
            
43
syphilis.\r\n\r\n* __130,257 (82%)__ of__ 159,233__ women at ANC had 
            
44
their HIV status ascertained; __10,191 (8%)__ of\r\nthese were HIV 
            
45
positive. __113,169 (93%)__ of __121,579__ women at maternity had 
            
46
their HIV status\r\nascertained; __8,822 (8%)__ of these were HIV 
            
47
positive.\r\n\r\n* __25,363__ patients started ART this quarter, 8% 
            
48
more than in the previous quarter (23,334).\r\n\r\n* __486,795__ 
            
49
patients were alive and on ART by end of March 2014. This means that 
            
50
49% of the\r\nestimated 1 million HIV positive population was on ART.

__39% (42,525 / 110,000)__ for children (<15 years) and

discharged alive from maternity were known to be HIV exposed,

__7,815\r\n(94%)__ of these received ARV prophylaxis (nevirapine).
