    This is the 10th quarterly HIV Program report after implementation of the 2011 Integrated Clinical HIV Guidelines in July 2011. A summary of the key achievements between January and March 2014 is provided below: * Scale-up of integrated HIV services had reached the following number of sites: * __825__ static (607 within and __218__ outside of health facilities) and 534 outreach HTC sites * __694__ (static) ART sites * __605__ PMTCT sites (Option B+, all included in ART sites above) * __651__ Pre-ART sites * __627__ sites with HIV-exposed child follow-up * __444,365__ persons were tested and counselled for HIV; __140,942 (32%)__ accessed HTC for the first time; 303,423 (68%) were repeat testers and 9,112 (3%) of these received confirmatory testing (after having tested positive in the past). This is equivalent to 36% confirmatory testing coverage among 25,363 patients initiating ART this quarter. 32,913 (7%) out of all clients received a positive result for the first time. * __18,850 (93%)__ of __20,242__ blood units collected were screened for (at least) HIV, hepatitis B and syphilis. * __130,257 (82%)__ of__ 159,233__ women at ANC had their HIV status ascertained; __10,191 (8%)__ of these were HIV positive. __113,169 (93%)__ of __121,579__ women at maternity had their HIV status ascertained; __8,822 (8%)__ of these were HIV positive. * __25,363__ patients started ART this quarter, 8% more than in the previous quarter (23,334). * __486,795__ patients were alive and on ART by end of March 2014. This means that 49% of the estimated 1 million HIV positive population was on ART. 1 Estimated ART coverage among people in need for treatment was __39% (42,525 / 110,000)__ for children (<15 years) and __78%__ __(444,270 / 570,000)__ for adults. * __78%__ of adults and __78%__ of children were retained alive on ART at 12 months after initiation. * __417,369 (92%)__ of __452,934__ patients on first line adult ART were on regimen 5A (TDF/3TC/EFV). *__10,036 2 (81%)__ of an estimated __12,425__ Error! Bookmark not defined. HIV infected pregnant women in Malawi were on ART this quarter. __5,030 (50%)__ of these were already on ART when getting pregnant and __5,006 (50%)__ started ART during pregnancy/delivery. * An additional __1,644__ 2 breastfeeding women started ART due to Option B+ (in WHO stage 1/2) * __77%__, __72%__ and __71%__ of women started under Option B+ were retained on ART at 6, 12 and 24 months after initiation, respectively. * __8,350 (8%)__ of infants discharged alive from maternity were known to be HIV exposed, __7,815 (94%)__ of these received ARV prophylaxis (nevirapine). __5,771 (59%)__ were enrolled in exposed child follow-up before age 2 months. * A total of __10,372__ HIV exposed children and __8,551__ pre-ART patients were enrolled for followup in HIV Care Clinics (HCC) during this quarter.
