    A summary of the key achievements between April and June 2015 is provided below: * Scale-up of integrated HIV services had reached the following number of sites: * __724__ static (579 within and 145 outside of health facilities) and 188 outreach HTC sites * __711__ (static) ART sites *__601__ PMTCT sites (Option B+, all included in ART sites above) * __662__ Pre-ART sites *__642__ sites with HIV-exposed child follow-up * __493,567__ persons were tested and counselled for HIV; __150,728 (31%)__ accessed HTC for the first time; __342,839 (69%)__ were repeat testers and __9,820 (3%)__ of these received confirmatory testing (after having tested positive in the past). This is equivalent to 35% confirmatory testing coverage among __25,957__ patients initiating ART this quarter. __29,285 (6%)__ clients received a positive result for the first time. * __19,596 (95%)__ of __20,538__ blood units collected were screened for (at least) HIV, hepatitis B and syphilis. * __141,212 (91%)__ of __155,272__ women at ANC had their HIV status ascertained; __10,766 (8%)__ of these were HIV positive. __120,781 (96%)__ of 1__25,961__ women at maternity had their HIV status ascertained __8,967 (7%)__ of these were HIV positive. * __25,957__ patients started ART this quarter. * __568,470__ patients were alive and on ART by end of June 2015. This means that 57% of the estimated 1 million HIV positive population was on ART. 1 Estimated ART coverage among people in need for treatment1 was 49% (49,407 / 101,000) for children (<15 years) and 67% (519,063 / 779,000) for adults. * __79%__ of adults and __78%__ of children were retained alive on ART at 12 months after initiation. Actual retention rates are thought to be about 10% higher due to misclassification of ‘silent transfers’ as defaulters in clinic-based survival/retention analysis. (see section 16.4) * __493,034 (93%)__ of __531,106__ patients on first line adult ART were on regimen 5A (TDF/3TC/EFV). * __10,460 (70%)__ of an estimated __14,926__ HIV infected pregnant women in Malawi were on ART this quarter. __5,960 (57%)__ of these were already on ART when getting pregnant and __4,500 (43%)__ started ART during pregnancy/delivery. * An additional __1,591__ breastfeeding women started ART due to Option B+ (in WHO stage 1/2) * __76%__, __72%__, __67%__ and __69%__ of women started under Option B+ were retained on ART at 6, 12, 24 and 36 months after initiation, respectively. * __8,210 (7%)__ of infants discharged alive from maternity were known to be HIV exposed, __7,771 (95%)__ of these received ARV prophylaxis (nevirapine). __6,563 (80%)__were enrolled in exposed child followup before age 2 months. * A total of __10,396__ HIV exposed children and __6,077__ pre-ART patients were enrolled for follow-up in HIV Care Clinics (HCC) during this quarter.
